Create a new, previously unpublished story of 500 words on any theme.
Pay your £6 entry fee here, then submit your story as a word doc or pdf by email to billilitbookfestival@gmail.com, before the closing date of Friday 1st May 2026 to be in with a chance of winning the £50 first prize.
In the main body of the email, include your name and contact details, but please ensure that the attached word doc or pdf with your story does not contain your name, since the entries will be judged anonymously.
Entries must be received by midnight on Friday 1st May 2026.
Purchashing entry to the competition also entitles you to entry to the prizegiving event at BilliLit, on Saturday 16th May at 4.30pm in the Women's Hall.
